At present, it is important to preserve jobs in Kazakhstan, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the enlarged session of the government Feb. 11.

He said that the most important thing is to keep people employed.

He urged the heads of companies to keep jobs in case of a decrease in production and personnel.

"It is fundamentally important for people and their families," he said.

President Nazarbayev ordered the government of Kazakhstan to reduce costs of the republican budget, without affecting the country's social obligations.

"I charge to reduce the costs of the national budget-2015 by 700 billion tenge, without affecting the country's social obligations," he said.

The official exchange rate is 185.05 tenge/1$.
