Turkey ratifies agreement with International Labour Organization

Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb.15

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

Turkey has ratified an agreement with the International Labour Organization (ILO) on the safety of construction contracts, said a message posted on the website of the Turkish Official Newspaper (Resmi Gazete).

The agreement between the parties was signed in 1991.

In total, Turkey and the International Labour Organization signed 57 agreements.

In 2013, the ILO has put Turkey on the blacklist for several reasons, as well as due to the lack of trade unions in a number of government agencies and large public companies.
