Azerbaijan retains second place on list of largest trade partners of Georgia

Azerbaijan retains the second place in the list of the largest foreign trade partners of Georgia, Gruzstat (National Statistical Service of Georgia) told Trend.

In January 2015, trade between the two countries amounted to $79 million, according to Gruzstat.

Georgia exported to Azerbaijan goods and services worth $28.5 million, and imported goods and services from Azerbaijan worth $50.5 million. This represents 11 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia during this period.

The largest trade partner of Georgia is Turkey, the foreign trade turnover with this country in January was $109 million. Russia was replaced by China in third place, the foreign trade turnover with which amounted to $58 million.

In January 2015, the share of the 10 largest trade partners of Georgia in total foreign trade turnover of the country amounted to 67 percent.
