Azerbaijan-China technical-economic cooperation exceeds $45M

Azerbaijan and China have signed 11 agreements on technical-economic cooperation totaling 305 million yuan ($45.5 million), the Azerbaijani government's report as of 2014, which was submitted to the parliament, said.

Some 163 municipal vehicles were supplied to Azerbaijan as part of the agreements, the report said.

A new batch of equipment, including 65 self-unloading trucks, 30 excavators, 30 cranes and 15 pavers were bought through the unused funds in 2014 on the basis of negotiations with the Chinese side.

Some 50 more municipal vehicles, ICT equipment for a number of state agencies, etc. are planned to be purchased with the remaining funds.

The latest agreement on technical-economic cooperation with China in the amount of 30 million yuan ($ 4.5 million) was signed on December 7, 2014, the statement said.
