The amount of savings in Kazakhstan per one average pension account exceeded 475,000 tenges (185.5 tenges = $1) in February, the Kazakh analytical service Ranking.kz said Mar. 30.
A year ago, the savings on the pension accounts, averaged 413,000 tenges.
"Over the year, the Kazakhs' pension savings rose to 4.6 trillion tenges, versus 3.9 trillion tenges a year earlier," said Ranking.kz. "The annual growth was 18 percent."
The number of the depositors in the pension savings system reached 9.7 million, against 9.5 million in February 2014.
Throughout two months of this year, the growth of pension savings was 118.5 billion tenges.
