Iran's Central Bank will consider requests of domestic banks for opening overseas branches, said Abdolmehdi Arjmandnejad, an official with the Central Bank of Iran.
Arjmandnejad said that the banks which are planning to open branches in other countries should put in their request to be studied by the Central Bank in line with the government's policies, Iran's IRNA news agency reported on April 10.
"The administration has adopted policies to improve business and expand economy after easing the international sanctions," he added.
The improvement of business requires specific infrastructures, such as expanding bank branches in other countries, he said.
