On April 15, KPMG Baku hosted business breakfast on the application of information technologies in the banking sector, the company said April 15.
Dmitry Grigorovich, Senior Manager, and Vasily Esipov, Manager, Information Risk Management (IRM) at KPMG in Russia and CIS, dealing with issues of information security and cybersecurity, made speeches before the participants.
KPMG experts spoke about the importance of integrated approach to business continuity in terms of information technologies.
They considered both organizational and technical aspects of the issue, and provided some practical examples.
Dmitry and Vasily also discussed the topic of creating and managing corporate data warehouses, and focused on methods used by the leading Russian and international
banks for storing, systematizing and structuring various types of data.
Then the experts answered questions from the audience regarding the benefits of centralized databases in the banks, technical aspects of migration, and selection of the most effective methods and tools in different situations.
