On April 13, 2015, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Alexander Vucic arrived in Azerbaijan with an official visit.

Within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan, Serbian Prime Minister Alexander Vucic has met with representatives of the Azmeko Company owning the only methanol plant in the region.

After the meeting with the head of state and government officials Vucic told reporters that they had discussed the gas supplies and Azerbaijan's participation in the privatization of companies in Serbia. The Prime Minister also expressed his satisfaction with the successful cooperation of Serbia with the Azerbaijani companies operating in Serbia, and emphasized the desire to strengthen cooperation with the Azerbaijani Azmeko Company.

"We are determined to strengthen our relations, not only political but also economic," - said Vucic and expressed gratitude for the Azerbaijan's support of territorial integrity of Serbia.

The Prime Minister in his Twitter account has notified that Azerbaijani Azmeko Company is interested in the petrochemical cooperation with Serbia, and that representatives of Azmeko soon pay a visit to Serbia to negotiate the potential ways of cooperation designed to strengthen economic relations between the two countries.

The Minister of Energy and Mining Alexander Antic being a member of the state delegation which arrived in Azerbaijan has visited the petrochemical facilities and met with the Azmeko Company's management. He also said that Serbia is interested in investing in the petrochemical sector.
