Turkey’s foreign trade deficit increases by third

Turkey exported goods in the amount of $12.570 billion in March 2015 or by 14.4 percent less than in March 2014, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on April 30.

Turkey imported goods in the amount of $18.723 billion in March 2015, which is 6.1 percent less than in March 2014. At the same time, the foreign trade deficit amounted to $6.153 billion or by 32.2 percent more than in the previous month, the report said.

Turkey exported goods in the amount of $5.34 billion in March 2015, which is 11.8 percent less than in March 2014.

Turkey's exports to Germany amounted to $1.8 billion in March 2015. The imports from China during the period amounted to $2.34 billion.

Turkey exported goods in the amount of $12.272 billion in February 2015 or by 6 percent less than in February 2014.

During this period, Turkey imported goods in the amount of $16.927 billion or by 7.2 percent less than in February 2014.
