Turkish Petrol Ofisi company has been banned from participation in local tenders for 237 days, according to the website of the country's Resmi Gazete newspaper.

This decision has been made due to the company's failure to fulfill its obligations.

In 2009, this company was banned from participation in tenders for a year. This decision of Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources was annulled after Petrol Ofisi applied to the court.

Turkish Dogan Grubu holding, the owner of Petrol Ofisi company, sold its shares to Austrian OMV company in 2010.

Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority annulled the license for sale of petroleum products and gas of OMV Petrol Ofisi company in January 2014.

Austrian OMV has 95.75-percent share in Petrol Ofisi.
