Profit of Kazakh railway significantly reduces

Profit of Kazakh company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Railway of Kazakhstan) decreased significantly and amounted to 33.557 billion tenge (186.2 tenge = $1) for 2014, said the audit report on the consolidated financial statements of the company for 2014, published on the website of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange KASE.

The company's profit in 2013 amounted to 118.436 billion tenge.

The company's profit from continuing operations in 2014 amounted to 39.059 billion tenge (compared to 127.665 billion tenge in 2013), according to the report.

The total income of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) in the reporting period amounted to 32.661 billion tenge (compared to 114.596 billion tenge in 2013).

Assets of KTZ for 2014 rose and amounted to 2.835 trillion tenge at the end of the year (compared to 2.487 trillion tenge at the end of 2013).

The company's capital in 2014 increased from 1.329 trillion tenge to 1.409 trillion tenge.

Commitments of KTZ increased from 1,158 trillion tenge at the end of 2013 to 1.435 trillion tenge at the end of 2014.
