Tariffs for central heating in apartment buildings in Tashkent, Uzbekistan will rise by 8.3 percent from Aug.1, 2015, Tashteploenergo said.
The new tariff will be 1019.59 Uzbek soums per month per square meter of heated area, compared to the current 941.14 soums.
The decision to increase the tariffs has been made due to the changes in the specific rate of thermal energy consumption.
It is the second rise in tariffs for heating in Uzbekistan in 2015.
Tariffs for central heating were increased by 11.4 percent in Uzbekistan from May 15.
The heating season in Uzbekistan begins in mid to late October, depending on weather conditions and ends in late March - early April, respectively.
