KEGOC lowers profit

The Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) significantly reduced its total profit in the first half of 2015.

The Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) significantly reduced its total profit in the first half of 2015, according to KEGOC's partial financial statement posted on the website of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.

KEGOC's profit between January and June 2015 stood at 5.859 billion tenges (187.65 tenges = $1) (versus 111.489 billion tenges in the same period of last year).

The company's operating profit in the first half of 2015 was 8.955 billion tenges (versus 2.251 billion tenges in the same period of last year).

KEGOC's revenue in the reporting period rose from 42.454 billion tenges to 52.556 billion tenges.

The company's assets over the year stood at 550.072 billion tenges.

Aside from that, KEGOC's capital reduced in the first half of 2015 from 360.013 billion tenges to 357.258 billion tenges.
