Kazakhstan's Ministry of Investments and Development has announced an auction for the right to subsoil use on 100 sites, KazGeology national exploration company said.

The following sites are put up for auction: 46 sites for gold and gold ores, two sites for cobalt and chromium, one - titanium, three - manganese and iron, 10 - for non-metallic raw materials, 10 - rare-earth elements, one - diamond, two - bauxite, four - for groundwater and two sites for rough semi-precious stone.

The auction envisages startup amount of the signature bonus for each site. The cost of the package of geological information on the sites ranges from 206 tenges for groundwater to 22 million tenges for Taskaynar field.

The fee for the right to participate in the auction is 40 monthly estimated figures and one monthly estimated figure is 1,982 tenges (234.94 tenges = $1).

Applications for participation in the auction can be submitted from Sept.1 till Oct.1, 16:00 (UTC/GMT + 6 hours) to the following address: 010000, Astana city, Kabanbai Batyr Street, house 32/1, the Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan.

The auction will be held Dec.3, 15:00 (UTC/GMT + 6 hours - Astana time) at the following address: 010000, Astana city, Kabanbai Batyr Street, house 32/1, the Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan, 7th floor, cabinet 707.
