Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, Sept. 3

By Huseyn Hasanov- Trend:

Work on the reconstruction of the water supply system began at the refinery in the town of Seydi (eastern Turkmenistan), said the message released by the ministry of petroleum and mineral resources of Turkmenistan.

"Work for the high-volume production of high-quality petroleum products are carried out at the large industrial enterprise at the expense of deep processing of raw materials," the message said.

Repair and reconstruction of production units are carried out for this purpose. Special attention is given to the important issues related to water supply of the plants, wastewater treatment and their purification, the message said.

It is also reported that local builders carry out work to replace pumps and water pipes with a total length of 70 kilometers at the refinery. Major reconstruction of this system will make it possible to provide factories with water in necessary volumes.

Turkmenistan plans to bring the power of the oil refining industry to 20 million tones by 2020, to 22 million tons by 2025 and by to 30 million tons 2030.

Turkmenistan currently annually produces about 10 million tons of oil, most part of which is processed at local refineries.
