Azerbaijan and Russia signed two agreements in the field of economic cooperation.
The documents were signed as part of the sixth Russian-Azerbaijani inter-regional forum, being held in Yekaterinburg.
The Letter of Intent on the implementation of the investment project was signed between the Lotus Special Economic Zone public joint-stock company and the Azerbaijani group of companies Matanat-A. The agreement was signed by Sergey Stimasov, the First Deputy General Director of the Lotus Special Economic Zone and Elkhan Bashirov, the president of Matanat-A company.
The two sides also signed an agreement between the Russian council on the development of foreign trade and economic relations and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO). The document was signed by Maxim Chereshnev, the chairman of the board of the "Council on the Development of Foreign Trade and International Economic Relations" independent non-profit organization and Rufat Mammadov, the head of AZPROMO.
