Azerbaijan's Energy Ministry has suspended the gas and energy control of business entities from Oct.30, the ministry's website said.
The corresponding instruction was given by Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Natig Aliyev during the board meeting.
The minister said that the number of inspections held in the state enterprises should be reduced and carried out in accordance with technical requirements, technical security and by ensuring the protection of public heath.
The inspections carried out by the gas and energy control administrations under the Energy Ministry, should only be aimed at benefiting the state, according to Aliyev.
"Interference in the activities of entrepreneurs is unacceptable," said the minister. "If there is a necessity to carry out inspection, this process can start only after the approval of the Ministry of Economy and Industry."
He added that those who abuse their power and violate the law, will be dismissed from their posts.
The board meeting also focused on discussions on preparing the rules for justifying the inspections.
In accordance with the decree of Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on additional measures for fulfilling the law "On suspending the inspections in the sphere of entrepreneurship", all inspections in entrepreneurship will be completely suspended from Nov.1 for two years.
The tax inspections, as well as those carried out by the Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan are exception.
