The foreign ministers of six countries approved the creation of the "C5 + 1" cooperation format during the meeting in Samarkand Nov. 1, the Uzbek national news agency (UzA) reported.

US Secretary of State John Kerry, foreign minister of Kazakhstan - Erlan Idrissov, foreign minister of Kyrgyzstan - Erlan Abdyldaev, foreign minister of Tajikistan - Sirodjidin Aslov, foreign minister of Turkmenistan - Rashid Meredov and foreign minister of Uzbekistan - Abdulaziz Kamilov attended the meeting.

The sides exchanged the views on cooperation prospects in political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The relevant international and regional issues were discussed.

A joint declaration of partnership and cooperation of five countries of Central Asia and the US was adopted following the meeting.

The participants of the meeting approved the creation of the "C5 + 1" new cooperation format for the foreign ministries of six countries to hold a regular political dialogue on the issues of common interest.
