A signing ceremony of bilateral documents was held in Tehran following Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's official visit on November 22-23, the Turkmen government said Nov. 23.
Among the signed documents are a memorandum on cooperation in the field of merchant shipping in the Caspian Sea; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of health; a memorandum of understanding on further cooperation in the field of construction of a Mary (Turkmenistan) - Mashad (Iran) power transmission line; a memorandum of understanding between the postal services; a memorandum of understanding in the field of sport; a memorandum of understanding on Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed highway.
Moreover, among the signed documents are a memorandum of understanding between the railway departments of the two countries; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of standardization, certification, accreditation and metrology; a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography and the Radio and Television Broadcasting Organization of Iran.
The two leaders signed a joint statement.
