Kazakhstan approved 1,420 bids of the entities of the agro-industrial complex for getting the grants from the operator of the investment subsidy program - Kazagromarketing company in the first nine months of 2015, the company said Nov. 24.

The cost of the projects on the approved bids amounted to 24.8 billion tenge (307.21 tenge = $ 1). The amount of the approved subsidies reaches 4.9 billion tenge.

The work is underway in Pavlodar, Aktobe, North Kazakhstan, Mangistau, Akmola, Atyrau regions and Astana as part of the program. The subsidies were fully used in other regions of Kazakhstan for the current year.

Moreover, 654 applications were approved on the projects for expanding and technical equipment of commercial cattle farms, 294 applications in creating and expanding cattle-breeding farms and 226 applications in creating infrastructure for stockwater development

So, 1.4 billion tenges of subsidies will be allocated for commercial cattle farms; 727 million tenges - for creating and expanding beef cattle breeding farms and 503 million tenges - for creating and expanding feed yards with the capacity of no less than 3,000 rooms for cattle.

Subsidies for reimbursement of part of the costs incurred by entities of the agro-industrial complex during investments, were first launched in Kazakhstan in 2014.

Investment grants require compensation from 20 to 80 percent of the costs of investors aimed at the implementation of projects in the sectors of agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan. The cost of purchased machinery and equipment, construction and installation work implemented in order to create new and expand existing production capacities in the priority sectors of agro-industrial complex is partially reimbursed within the framework of this program.
