Azerbaijan imported almost 2.2 tons of medicine in the amount of $24.78 million from Georgia in January-October 2015.
According to the Georgian National Statistics Service, the physical import of medicine increased by 32.8 percent and in value terms - by 10.6 percent during the period.
The share of medicine in a total volume of Azerbaijani import from Georgia was 11.2 percent.
Georgia exported medicine in the amount of $109.1 million during this period. Some 22.7 percent accounted for the share of Azerbaijan.
The exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan reduced twofold and amounted to $220.55 million (12 percent of a total volume of Georgian exports) during this period compared to January-October 2014.
Azerbaijan ranks first in terms of good imports from Georgia.
The second place on this indicator is held by Bulgaria - $175.16 million (9.6 percent), and the third place - by Turkey - $160.48 million (8.8 percent).
Cars, medicines, cattle and steel fittings are the main items exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan.
