Azerbaijani Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Iran's Abad Rahan Pars İnternational company, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy and Industry said Dec. 22.
The memorandum was signed as part of the Azerbaijani-Iranian Business Forum in Tehran, organized by the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Iran.
Along with officials, over 350 entrepreneurs of the two countries, representing industry, agriculture, construction, food industry, finance, consulting, tourism and others, attended the business forum.
The presentation on the expansion of ties between the entrepreneurs of the two countries, the activity of the Sumgayit industrial park and the conditions created for entrepreneurs there, the activity of the Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation was held during the business forum. Azerbaijani and Iranian businessmen met in conclusion of the business forum.
The Azerbaijani-Iranian business forum will be held in Tabriz Dec. 22 during the Azerbaijani delegation's visit to Iran.
According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran amounted to $110.6 million in January-November 2015. Some $80.5 million of this amount accounted for imports from Iran.
