The EU would like to see more EU tourists in Azerbaijan and increase of Azerbaijanis going to EU, the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Malena Mard told reporters in Baku Feb. 1.

The EU would like to see more EU tourists in Azerbaijan and increase of Azerbaijanis going to EU, the EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Malena Mard told reporters in Baku Feb. 1.

She said that EU and Azerbaijan are strategic partners.

Mard thinks that the EU-Azerbaijan relationship today is very different from the beginning of 1990s.

"EU is the largest trade partner and major investor of Azerbaijan," she said. "We have broad cooperation in many areas including tourism, agriculture. We have visa facilitation and readmission agreement."

She said that EU and Azerbaijan look at possible opportunities of new legal bases of the new agreement.
