Afghan Jalilov has been appointed acting chairman of Azerbaijani AGBank upon a decision of the general meeting of the bank's shareholders, the bank said April 13.

According to the bank, Jalilov serves as deputy chairman of the bank's board.

"Azer Movsumov, former chairman of the bank's board, has been elected member of AGBank's Supervisory Board," the bank said.

"The new staff of the bank's Supervisory Board is as follows: Chingiz Asadullayev (chairman), members - Farzulla Yusifov, Grigory Marchenko, Azer Movsumov, representative of the International Finance Corporation," the bank said.

According to the bank, the board also includes Tokay Alizade (deputy chairman), members - Sakina Khalafova, Elnur Musayev.

"The composition of the bank's Audit Committee has been also changed," the bank said. "Mikhail Fransev has become a new member of the committee. The Audit Committee is chaired by Fikret Bakhishov, while Asif Chokhlayev is another member of the committee."

According to the bank's statement, the new changes are expected to be made in the bank's structure in the near future.

"The shareholders also reconsidered the issue of increasing the authorized capital," the bank said. "An extraordinary meeting was held on March 4."

"A decision was made at this extraordinary meeting to increase the capital," the bank said. "As a result, the capital increased from 77.2 million manat to 102.2 million manat."

As of April 13, the official exchange rate is 1.5264 AZN/USD.

AGBank has been operating in Azerbaijan since 1992. Among the shareholders are the International Finance Corporation, Kazimir Partners company, as well as physical entities Chingiz Asadullayev and Farzulla Yusifov.
