Georgia cuts import of Azerbaijani goods

Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $142.3 million in January-March 2016, which is five percent less than in the same period of 2015, said a report of Georgia's National Statistics Service.

Georgia imported Azerbaijani goods worth $150 million in January-March 2015, according to the report.

Azerbaijan is the fourth among the countries, from which Georgia imports goods.

Azerbaijan's specific weight is 8.4 percent in the total volume of export to Georgia, said the report.

Generally, the country exports gas, oil products, construction materials and other products to Georgia.

Georgia mainly imported goods from Turkey ($291.8 million with a 17.1 percent share).

Georgia also imported goods from Ireland ($209.7 million with a 12.3 percent share).

Georgia imported goods from Russia ($146.5 million with an 8.6 percent share).
