Members of the working group on development of the International Trans-Caspian Transportation Route during their next meeting discussed the introduction of the competitive single tariffs, Nadir Azmammadov, spokesperson for Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, told Trend.

Delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Ukraine participated in the meeting.

Azerbaijan was presented by the Deputy Head of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Igbal Huseynov, director of ADY Express LLC Azad Gasimov, Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping CJSC Farhad Guliyev, as well as by Deputy Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port Vahid Aliyev.

The parties discussed the rules of organizing container traffic via the Dostyk/Altyngel-Aktau-Baku (Alat)-Batumi route and the work plan of the newly established International Trans-Caspian Transportation Consortium, said Azmammadov.

He added that the signing of a protocol is expected according to the results of the meeting.

An agreement on creation of the International Trans-Caspian Transportation Consortium was signed in April in Baku by the railway bodies of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Azerbaijani companies ADY Express and ACSC Logistics, Kazakhstan's KTZ Express and Georgia's Trans Caucasus Terminals LLC became members of the consortium.
