Turkmenenergo State Corporation concluded a contract with the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) for supply of electricity from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan in a period from Jan. 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2027, said the Turkmen government June 7.
Additional agreements were also signed to extend the term of the previously inked electricity supply contracts until Dec. 31, 2017.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said in February 2014 that Turkmenistan is ready to consider the proposals on increasing supply of its electricity to Afghanistan.
