Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, June 30
By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:
Cargolux Airlines International S.A., a Luxemburg-based cargo airline, will increase the number of transit cargo flights to Turkmenistan, the ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’ newspaper reported June 30.
The airline will operate 11 flights to Turkmenistan’s airports every day starting from July 1 and will transport cargo through cities of Turkmenbashi and Ashgabat every day starting in 2017.
In 2015, Cargolux started to deliver various cargoes from Luxemburg to Taipei and from Hong Kong to Vienna and Budapest through the airports of Turkmenbashi.
European companies prefer the airports on the coast of the Caspian Sea and in Ashgabat as transit points linking European and Asian cities because of their favorable geographical location, said the ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’.
