Gold production increases in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan has produced nearly 34.57 tons of unwrought, semi-manufactured and powder gold in H1 2016, or 23.2 percent more than in the same period in 2015, said the Statistics Committee of the country’s National Economy Ministry.

This is while the fine gold production has increased by 14.7 percent and stood at 17.05 tons during the reporting period.

The production of unwrought, semi-manufactured and powder silver in Kazakhstan has dropped by 0.1 percent and totalled 622.02 tons during the reporting period.

The fine silver production has also decreased by 0.1 percent and stood at 620.61 tons.

Kazakhstan produced 63.72 tons of unwrought, semi-manufactured and powder gold in 2015, or 26.6 percent more than in 2014.

The production of unwrought, semi-manufactured and powder silver in Kazakhstan stood at 1,305 tons in 2015, or 32 percent more than in 2014.
