Turkmenistan’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed the development of a number of projects with the CEO of Turkey’s Calik Holding S.A. Ahmet Calik, the Turkmen government said in a message July 22.

In particular, the sides discussed the construction process of carbamide plant in Garabogaz city of Balkan region and combined heat and power plant in Turkmenistan’s Mary region, according to the message.

Berdimuhamedov noted that high quality of construction works, immutable requirement of putting into use the facilities within the period envisaged by contracts are prerequisites of the Turkmen side.

The Turkish businessman, in turn, said that his company will have the most serious and responsible approach to fulfill its partnership commitments.

The construction of the carbamide plant with a capacity of 1.155 million tons started in July 2015 in Turkmenistan. Calik Holding is building this industrial facility together with Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation.

The construction of combined plant with a capacity of 1,574 megawatts started in 2015 in Turkmenistan. The Turkish holding is implementing this project together with General Electric. It will be possible to additionally supply three billion kilowatt/hours of electricity to foreign countries by putting the plant into operation.
