Rosaviatsia revokes permits for flights to Azerbaijan

Baku, Azerbaijan, Aug. 29

By Azad Hasanli – Trend:

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) has revoked permits for flights to Azerbaijani cities of seven air carriers, said the agency in a message.

It was noted that these companies are Kogalymavia (also known as Metrojet), Yamal Airlines, Saratov Airlines, UTair, Izhavia, Taimyr Air Company (operating as NordStar), VIM Airlines. The companies didn’t carry out flights during a season according to IATA’s (International Air Transport Association) schedule and it caused the revocation of permits.

The companies have not carried out flights to Azerbaijan since obtaining their permits.

These companies had licenses for carrying out flights from Russia’s Moscow, Surgut, Novosibirsk, Ufa, Tyumen, Samara and St. Petersburg to Azerbaijan’s Baku, Ganja, Lankaran, Gabala and Zagatala.
