Broad money supply up in Azerbaijan

The money supply rate (M2) (cash in circulation (outside banks) and remainders in the domestic currency on accounts of non-financial organizations, financial (excluding credit) organizations and physical entities) amounted to 10.1 billion manats in July 2016 increasing by three percent for a month and decreasing by 6.97 percent for the year, the CBA's report said.

The official exchange rate for September 10 is 1.6403 AZN/USD.

The amount of cash money supply (M0) decreased by 8.3 percent for a year from 6.37 billion manats to 5.84 billion manats. M0 increased by three percent compared to the previous month.

As of July 2016, Broad Money Supply (M3) totaled 21.1 billion manats or 11.9 percent more compared to July 2015 and by 1.2 percent more than in the previous month.

The transaction money (M1) increased by 2.4 percent during a year and increased by 4.7 percent and amounted to 8.4 billion manats compared to May.
