The Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) says it supports the proposal to hold a meeting between Azerbaijan’s and Bulgaria’s air carriers with participation of the two countries’ state civil aviation administrations regarding the Baku-Sofia direct flights.
AZAL cannot perform the flights on its own due to the current technical incapability of its aircraft fleet, read a protocol of the 4th session of Azerbaijan-Bulgaria Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation held Sept. 22 in Baku.
In case if a Bulgarian air carrier implements the flights, AZAL is ready to sign a number of commercial agreements and provide assistance to that carrier, said the protocol.
