The Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) CJSC is seeking a consultant for contract management.

A tender was announced under the joint project with the World Bank (WB) on Rail Trade and Transport Facilitation.

Consultancy services will be aimed at the management of large railway projects, supplies and installation works on the following contracts:

The first contract will be on power supply replacement from direct current (3.3 Kw) to alternating current (25Kw) of 50 Hz on the Baku-Boyuk Kesik railway corridor, which will be executed on 4 road sections in accordance with the agreement signed by ADY and Optima and ATEF company.

The first section which is 138 km long stretches from Boyuk Kesik to Ganja, the second – from Ganja to Ucar (113 km), the third – from Ucar to Hajigabul (121 km), and the fouth – from Hajigabul to Bku (130 km).

The second contract implies modification and upgrading of signaling and communication systems on the mentioned line.

The third contract is aimed at supply of 50 freight cars and 12 coach cars. It was signed by ADY and Alstom company in Apr. 2015. The supply of cars is expected by end of 2016.

The fourth contract is directed at restoration of 1,006 km of the East-West transport corridor’s track. Around 370 km of road was reconstructed in 2014, and restoration of the remaining section is planned in the framework of the project financed by the Czech Export Bank.
