Income of Azerbaijani population increases

Nominal income of Azerbaijan’s population increased by 8.7 percent to reach 32.76 billion manats in January-September 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015, said the Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee report on the results of January-September 2016.

Nominal income of Azerbaijan’s population increased by 8.7 percent to reach 32.76 billion manats in January-September 2016, as compared to the same period of 2015, said the Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee report on the results of January-September 2016.

The report says that per capita income amounted to 3,403.6 manats during the reporting period, or 378.18 manats per month, which is by 7.4 percent more than the same period of 2015.

Net income of the population increased by 8.9 percent and amounted to 26.74 billion manats in January-September 2016 as compared to the same period of 2015, according to the report.

During the period, 78.6 percent of population’s income was directed to consumption expenditure, 9.2 percent – tax, insurance and membership contributions, 2.6 percent – payment of loan debts and 9.6 percent – savings.

USD official rate is 1,603 AZN as of Oct. 20.
