Secondary housing prices up in Uzbekistan

The average bid price on the secondary housing market in the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, increased by 1 percent in September 2016 compared to August 2016, to $577 from $573 per square meter, a representative of the Uzbek Republican Real Estate Exchange told Trend Oct. 25.

The average cost per square meter in prefabricated homes in Tashkent in September nearly remained unchanged and amounted to $543 against $544 in August, the average cost per square meter in brick houses increased by 1 percent, to $621 from $613.

In September, the bid price in multi room apartments fell by 2 percent, to $579 from $592, the bid price in one-room and four-room apartments fell by 1 percent, to $571 from $575 and to $597 from $605, respectively, while the bid price in two-room apartments remained at the same level of $561.

The bid price in three-room apartments rose by 2 percent, to $590 from $577 per square meter.

As of late August 2016, the prices decreased by 2 percent in all districts of Tashkent, regardless of proximity to the downtown, except the most remote areas, where the bid price increased by 1 percent.

The rise in prices for secondary housing was observed in September in 4 of 11 districts on the outskirts of Tashkent, and the decrease in average bid prices was recorded in six districts of the city.
