Maybo LLC wins tender as part of WB project in Azerbaijan

The World Bank (WB) has attracted Maybo LLC for the purchase of equipment for the modernization of regional seed laboratories, WB said in a message posted on its official website.

According to the message, the contract signed in November, will be valid three months.

The contract is worth about $2 million, the message said.

According to the message, the company won the tender announced by the WB and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Agriculture.

The equipment delivery term is three months from the date of signing the contract, the message said.

The equipment will be delivered to the regional seed centers in such Azerbaijani districts as Guba, Shamakhi, Salyan, Lankaran, Sabirabad, Ujar, Barda, Goygol and Tovuz, the message said.

The Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project (ACIP) was approved September 30, 2013. Its total cost is $53.25 million.

The development objective of the Agricultural Competitiveness Improvement Project (ACIP) for Azerbaijan is to facilitate the access of agricultural producers to markets by strengthening sanitary and phytosantiary services, enhancing selected value chains, and providing financial services to agribusiness enterprises.

Azerbaijan is a WB member since 1992.
