Pakistan's Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan will visit Azerbaijan to discuss opportunities for expanding trade and economic relations between the two countries, a diplomatic source told Trend Nov. 30.

An Azerbaijan-Pakistan business forum will be held in Baku on Dec. 6-7.

The Pakistani delegation will comprise about 80 businessmen representing Pakistan’s leading companies specializing in food, textile, pharmaceutical and sports equipment industries.

Socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, favorable business ambience for foreign investors in the country, transportation corridors, production enterprises and other economic and trade opportunities make the country attractive for Pakistani investors, Dastgir Khan has previously said.

According to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Pakistan amounted to $5.82 million in January-October 2016, which is 3.6 times more than in the same period of 2015.
