By Huseyn Hasanov– Trend:

Turkmenistan has developed proposals for foreign airline companies to provide services on preferential terms, which will contribute to the growth of the number of foreign customers internationally, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.

The issue of increasing the profitability of the civil aviation industry was discussed at a government meeting in Turkmenistan. The preferential terms apply to take-off and landing, as well as ground-handling services. The tariff for these services is determined in accordance with the frequency of landings the planes of foreign airline companies make.

“A 15-percent discount is offered to foreign airline companies which carry out 5-10 flights per week, companies which carry out 11-15 flights per week get a 25 percent discount, and a 35 percent discount is offered for 16 flights and more,” said the newspaper.
