Azerbaijan is ready to create necessary working conditions for Pakistani companies in the country, Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijani minister of economy, said.

Mustafayev made remarks at the Azerbaijani-Pakistani business meeting in Baku Dec. 5.

"Pakistani companies show interest in activity in such fields in Azerbaijan as industry, production of agricultural equipment, accumulators, as well as pharmaceutics,” the minister said.

He added that pharmaceutics is of special interest for Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

"Pakistan has great potential in pharmaceutics,” Mustafayev said. “We will discuss joint medicine production in Azerbaijan.”

“At present, Pakistani companies export medicines to Azerbaijan,” he added. “At the same time, we will discuss joint production of agricultural products."

“Azerbaijan also intends to present its transit potential to Pakistan,” he said. "Azerbaijan has broad transit potential and Pakistani companies can take advantage of it."

Mustafayev added that in general, the political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are at a very high level and it is necessary to make efforts for the economic relations between the two countries to reach the same level.
