Cargo transportation via pipelines decreased by 3.6 percent in Kazakhstan in January-November 2016 and stood at 187.45 million tons, according to Kazakh Statistics Committee data.
During the period, revenues from cargo transportation via pipelines in Kazakhstan increased by 10.2 percent and totaled 979.28 billion tenges (334.88 tenges = $1).
In total, over 3.35 billion tons of cargo was transported by all types of transport in the country in January-November 2016, or 0.5 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
Cargo and baggage transportation by car and urban transport increased by 0.1 percent to 2.86 billion tons, air transportation increased by 4.8 percent to 15,980 tons, while sea transportation increased by 4.5 percent to 2.4 million tons.
Rail transportation of cargo and baggage stood at 300.29 million tons in January-November 2016, or 2.1 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
