More than 20.34 billion passengers were transported by all types of transport in Kazakhstan during January-November 2016, which is 2.3 percent more than in the same period of 2015, according to Kazakh Statistics Committee’s data.
Passenger transportation by car and urban electric vehicles increased by 2.3 percent in January-November 2016 and reached 20.32 billion people.
Air transportation of passengers increased by 1.1 percent and neared 5.53 million people during the period.
This is while the rail passenger transportation decreased by 18.4 percent and stood at 20.41 million people during the period.
