IMF announces volume of gold reserves in Azerbaijan

Gold reserves amounted to 22,015 tons in Azerbaijan as of late November 2016, which is 3 tons less than in the previous month, according to the report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the report, Turkey’s gold reserves decreased by 28.8 tons up to 396,472 tons in November.

As for other countries in the region, gold reserves of Russia and Kazakhstan increased by 32.1 tons and 3.1 tons up to 1,615 tons to 254.7 tons in November, respectively.

Azerbaijan’s international currency reserves as of late November amounted to $39.83 billion (the reserves of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan - $4.01 billion, assets of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) - $35.82 billion).
