Farid Mammadov, first deputy chairman of Executive Board at Kapital Bank OJSC, has been appointed as the head of Business Group at PASHA Holding, a source on Azerbaijan’s financial market told Trend Jan. 19.

The business group has been established on the basis of the PASHA Holding’s Banking Group, and will monitor banking, insurance and other activities of the holding.

Mammadov will start working from February 2017.

Prior to this appointment, Mammadov served at Kapital Bank since June 2013 and prior to that, he was the director on risk management at PASHA Holding (since September 2012) and a member of PASHA Bank’s Supervisory Board.

The new first deputy chairman of Kapital Bank’s Executive Board hasn’t been appointed yet, and it is expected that it will take place at the next meeting of the bank’s Supervisory Board.

Currently, Jalal Gasimov is the head of PASHA Holding’s Banking Group. He is also deputy director of PASHA Holding.

PASHA Holding is a major investment company in Azerbaijan widely represented in such sectors as banking, insurance, construction, production of construction materials, tourism and other areas of business. Kapital Bank, one of the largest banks of Azerbaijan’s retail market, is also owned by the PASHA Group of Companies.
