In 2016, 152 companies were created in Turkey thanks to Azerbaijani investments, says a report of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.
Azerbaijani investors invested 27.372 million Turkish liras in those companies.
In 2015, 51,488 companies were created in Turkey, including 4,523 that were founded by foreign investors.
In total, foreign investors invested 907 million Turkish liras in companies created in 2016.
The number of new companies opened in Turkey decreased by 4.49 percent in 2016, as compared to 2015.
About 40 percent of the newly opened companies were registered in Istanbul.
