Azerbaijani citizens bought 610 properties in Turkey in 2016, which is 25 percent less than in 2015, says a report of the Turkish Statistical Institute.
Overall, 1.341 million residential properties were sold in Turkey in 2016, which is four percent more than in 2015, according to the report. Some 449,508 properties were bought on credit.
Foreigners bought 18,189 properties in Turkey in 2016, which is 20.3 percent less than in 2015, reads the report.
Istanbul ranks first and Antalya ranks second in real estate sales to foreigners. Foreigners purchased 5,811 properties in Istanbul and 4,352 properties in Antalya in 2016.
