President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his annual address to the nation advanced an initiative to stepwise reduce the amount of transfer from the National Fund to the state budget to 2 trillion tenges by 2020.

The head of state also noted the necessity of using the resources of the Kazakh National Fund more rationally.

In 2016, transfer from the National Fund to the state budget was planned to be 2.8 trillion tenges.

However, it was later decided to reduce the amount of transfer to 2.4 trillion tenges in order to prevent significant decrease in the National Fund’s reserves.
