Turkish company building glass plant in Turkmenistan

Turkey’s Tepe Turkmen Insaat ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi is building a glass plant in the Ovadandepe area of ​​Turkmenistan’s Akhal region, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper said.

“The plant will be producing transparent and toned, laminated and toughened glass for the manufacture of windows and double-glazed windows, a variety of bottles for the food industry and medical industry, as well as other glass products,” said the newspaper.

It is planned to commission the plant with a capacity of 7.2 million square meters of glass per year in summer. Currently, fit-out work and installation of equipment is underway at the plant.

A workshop for the preparation of raw materials, production lines of container and float glass, industrial processing, workshops, warehouses, administrative and economic premises, etc. have been built on an area of ​​24 hectares. As many as 900 people are involved in the construction of the plant.

The glass production will be based on local raw materials: quartz sand, dolomite, limestone and other components.
