Azerbaijani insurers collect nearly 94M manats in premiums

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies totalled 93.98 million Azerbaijani manats in January-February 2017, said the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

The figure accounts for 90.5 percent of all the insurance premiums collected during the period.

Pasha Insurance continues to lead the ranking in terms of the premiums collected during the period. The company’s share of the total collected premiums was 42.62 percent.

Pasha Life ranked the second in the list with 12.09 percent, being followed by Silk Way Insurance, the share of which was 7.02 percent.

Payments of claims by the Azerbaijani insurance companies reached 43.86 million manats during the period, which is 10.23 percent more than in January-February 2016.
