Kazakh banks increase economy funding

Kazakh banks have increased loan issuance in March 2017, Kazakhstan’s National Bank said in a message.
As much as 12.51 trillion tenges were issued in loans in the reporting period (1.2 percent increase).
The loans to legal entities increased by 1.5 percent to 8.467 trillion tenges, the loans to individuals rose by 0.7 percent to 4.039 trillion tenges.

The loans in national currency, tenge, increased by 1.9 percent to 8.738 trillion tenges in March 2017. The tenge loans to legal entities rose by 2.5 percent, to individuals – by 1.1 percent in the reporting period.

The loans in foreign currency decreased by 0.3 percent to 3.768 trillion tenges. The volume of loans in foreign currency to legal entities remained unchanged, to individuals – increased by 2.8 percent.

The volume of long-term loans increased by 1 percent to 10.367 trillion, short-term loans - by 2.3 percent to 2.139 trillion. Lending to small businesses increased by 1.3 percent to 3.048 trillion (24.4 percent of all loans to the economy).
As much as 19.9 percent of all loans fell on trade sector, 14.3 percent – to industry, 7.7 percent - construction, 5.7 percent - agriculture and 4.6 percent – transport.
